This fabulous, vintage chalkware Spaniel dog dates back to the 1930’s. You can almost visualize the exciting sights and sounds of the boardwalk, where luck at a game won you one of these chalkware canine beauties. Many of them functioned as banks. However, you had to break them to get your money back out, so there are not very many still around. This beauty would probably have been chosen either by a young lady, or for a young lady, because the sparkle of a rhinestone in the dog’s eye, made her that much fancier.
She sits a full 15 1/2″ tall x 10 1/2″ long x 6″ wide. She is in great condition for her age and size. Her colors are still bold and beautiful.
