You can almost feel this character scamper across the table with a ball clutched in his mouth!

This Royal Doulton Jack Russell Terrier figurine is done in a beautiful high gloss finish and it is in excellent condition.

He was issued by Royal Doulton in 1937 as part of the “Dogs of Character” series, which was a series of 12 dogs, modeled in various poses, and believed to be inspired by the works of Cecil Aldin, a popular British artist and illustrator. This wonderful pup bears the green Royal Doulton backstamp and the mold # H.N. 1097.

It measures 2 3/4″ tall x 4 1/2″ long x 2 1/4″ wide.

We love to see this type of figurine grouped in a collection of similar scale and colors on a desk, a mantel, or even on a vanity.
