This stunning piece of vintage Italian craftsmanship measuring 9″ tall by 6″ wide and 4 1/2″ deep, was produced on the island of Murano, Venice, circa 1950s–1960s, and attributed to the furnace of Alfredo Barbini.

It is masterfully crafted with a smoky gray glass core filled with thousands of tiny, uniform air bubbles (bullicante) and coated in heavy clear glass that has been hand-tooled to mimic the iconic, trimmed coat of a Poodle. In every way, this hand-blown art glass Poodle captures all the poise and personality of the breed.

The collar and paws feature embedded aventurine gold leaf dust, creating a striking sparkle against the smoky glass.
