Definition:Lladro

Founded in Spain in 1953, Lladro is world-renowned for its “Pastel Palette” and elongated, graceful figurines. Lladro dogs are typically made of hard-paste porcelain with a very specific grey, blue, and tan color scheme. Their sculptures often depict “moments in time”—a dog playing with a butterfly, or a puppy sleeping in a basket. For collectors, Lladro represents a more contemporary “vintage” (the 1970s and 80s pieces are now highly collectible). They are the ultimate “gift” collectible, known for their high quality and sentimental storytelling.
