This lovely vintage  pottery planter is so charming.

It looks to be a sweet Cocker Spaniel, standing and waiting patiently for something special.

It is painted a beautiful baby pink and glazed inside and out.

This sweet Cocker Spaniel is in excellent condition.

It was made by the Shawnee Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio (1937-1961) from natural clay found in the area.

At 4″ tall x 6 1/2″ long x 3″ wide, it works well as a planter for a small plant, but would also make a wonderfully unique and whimsical baby gift to hold cotton balls near a changing table or other special trinkets in a little girl’s room.
