Sitting 2 3/4″ tall x 3 1/2″ long x 2″ wide, she is so sweet and realistic-looking, displaying her gentle and affectionate nature.

She is in excellent condition, and she still has a partial, original label on her back.

This seated Cocker spaniel figurine was created by Mortens Studio in the 1930’s – 1940’s.

Sitting 2 3/4″ tall x 3 1/2″ long x 2″ wide, she is so sweet and realistic-looking, displaying her gentle and affectionate nature.

She is in excellent condition, and she still has a partial, original label on her back.

The designer of this figurine, Oscar Morten, immigrated from Sweden to the U.S. and opened a gift ware studio in Chicago in 1931. Over the next 32 years, he created over 300 popular dog and horse models. Composed of ceramic over a metal skeleton, these figurines, although beautiful and engaging, were prone to crazing and flaking, thus making it difficult, today, to find examples in perfect condition.
