He was issued by Royal Doulton in 1937 as part of the “Dogs of Character” series, which was a series of 12 dogs, modeled in various poses, and believed to be inspired by the works of Cecil Aldin, a popular British artist and illustrator.
This wonderful pup bears the green Royal Doulton backstamp and the mold # H.N. 1097.

It measures 2 3/4″ tall x 4 1/2″ long x 2 1/4″ wide.
