Best Friends Dog Collectibles
You might ask, “How can Dog Collectibles capture the friendship between dogs?” And the answer is “exquisitely, thank you!”
Rare and beautiful works of art.
When I think of “Best Friends,” a song immediately starts to run through my head…
“People Let Me Tell You About My Best Friend…
He’s a Warm-Hearted Person Who Will Love Me ‘Til the End”
Now, the words might not be exactly correct, and it is the theme song from a show with Bill Bixby, about his relationship with his son…(yes, I am really showing my age here.) Yet, as I collect antique and vintage dogs, the ones that I find most charming and utterly irresistible, are those figurines, portraits, bronzes that depict two, or more canine “best friends.” Sometimes they are the same breed and oftentimes, not. Since dogs, I’m sure, are far more egalitarian than most humans.
Collecting Canine Best Friends
I don’t know if they make me smile when I think of my own friendships, or yearn for the kind of exuberance and love that dogs seem to put into theirs. Either way, dogs being friends with other dogs comprise many of my prized antique and vintage canine pieces.
Here are some wonderful “Canine Best Friend” items that are currently in our shop:
