This sweet, hand-painted puppy, sits perched on an egg-shaped candy dish that has a fluted edge and a gold trim. Measuring 4″ tall x 7 1/4″ long x 5 3/4″ wide, it is in excellent shape, with a bit of wear of the gold trim, along the edge of the dish. The puppy is absolutely charming. She looks to be either a Springer or a Brittany Spaniel, and she is sitting pretty at the very edge of the dish.
The dish is well-marked on its underside, with the marker’s name “Imperial Porcelain” incised in script, along with “Hand-Painted, Zanesville, Ohio, copyright 1949”, and the model no. 81.
Not only does this unique dish have a host of uses, it also makes a wonderful gift for any dog enthusiast.
