This “distinguished”, gilded bronze Mastiff sits guard on a marble base. The Mastiff, one of the most ancient dog breeds, has the “Molossus” as an ancestor, going back nearly 5,000 years!

This “distinguished”, gilded bronze Mastiff sits guard on a marble base. The Mastiff, one of the most ancient dog breeds, has the “Molossus” as an ancestor, going back nearly 5,000 years! This bronze dog looks like his ancient, ferocious, war dog relative, poised and ready to take on the enemy or be pitted against lions! He shows great detailing: fur lines, musculature, and wrinkled skin, and his tough expression is most likely a “front” protecting a huge heart and stoic loyalty and determination. He sits 6″ tall (including the base) x 4″ in diameter. Aside from a few tiny knicks in the front edge of the base, he is in excellent condition. He definitely belongs on a desk or in the study of an individual with a strong personality!
