This beautiful, vintage, chalkware Staffordshire Spaniel dog has both provenance and charm.

She is a wonderful example of the early chalkware that was used to create replicas of the much more expensive English Staffordshire spaniel dog figurines.

The addition of glitter on her collar and her ears, places her at the very end of that period, and in to the early 1930’s.

Her bold, bright colors also place her in the period of “Carnival Chalkware”, so she was most likely to be found on the Midway, to be won as a carnival prize.

She truly is a prize. Measuring a full 11 1/4″ tall x 7 3/4″ long x 4 1/4″ wide, she is in great condition for a chalkware figurine of her age (We should all look so good in our 90’s.)
