Circa 1934
This vintage bronze sporting dog figurine is classic as well as unique.

It shows the dog “in action”, with one paw up, on a rising base, that makes this retriever dog look as though he has reached the edge of a cliff.

It is a solid bronze piece, with the dog done in an elegant gold wash, in order to make him stand out from the deep bronze of the base. He was made by the Armor Bronze Company, circa 1934, of Taunton, MA.

Measuring 5″ tall x 7 1/2″ long x 2 1/4″ wide, this is a heavyweight piece, that would not only be a gorgeous dog to add to your collection, but it would also function well as a bookend, or as a desk accessory.

It is in excellent condition, with its original foil label, and Armor Bronze inscribed on the side of the base.
