Vintage French Watercolor Original West Highland Terrier Dog Signed and Framed 1943

This is an absolutely exquisite portrait of a West Highland Terrier, done in pastels. The detailing is gorgeous, with an abundance of fur lines, an intricately drawn collar and wonderfully expressive eyes. It is covered with glass and framed in dark wood. Framed, it is 12″ x 15″. The portrait itself is 9 1/2″ x 12″. It is signed and dated by the artist, “Andrea 1943.” It came to us from an estate in Brussels. The artwork is in excellent condition, and the frame is a bit worn, but still looks good enough to hang as is. What a fantastic “one-of-a-kind” gift it would make for a Westie owner! This classy pup would also look extraordinary as part of a gallery.
