This pair of Staffordshire Borzoi dogs is absolutely exquisite. Standing 3″ tall x 3 1/2″ long x 1 1/4″ wide, they are highly and colorfully detailed with the soft brown and bright white coloring of their bodies, showing off an abundance curly fur lines. Likewise the “ground” at the base of each figurine has both dark green tufts of moss, as well as a much softer, pastel green shading of grass. They are each marked with a gold, gilded anchor, which is considered a “decorator’s mark” and places them as coming from either a Dresden or Berlin, Germany factory ca 1880’s – 1920’s. They are in excellent condition and a truly special find.
