This wonderful English Mastiff dog was made by the Royal Dux porcelain company, which was founded in 1860 in Bohemia (now the Czech Republic.)

This massive and courageous dog, who is also known for its gentle and affectionate nature, is masterfully created in porcelain in one of Royal Dux’s most hard-to-find figurines.

His wonderfully demure facial expression, as he looks back over his shoulder, adds to the “European” look of this piece. He is in excellent condition, standing 7″ tall x 7″ long x 2 1/2″ wide.

He is clearly marked on the underside of the base, along with the Royal Dux pink triangle.
