This fabulous Beagle measures a full 5 3/4″ tall x 7 3/4″ long x 2 1/4″ wide and he is in excellent condition.

The designer of this figurine, Oscar Morten, immigrated from Sweden to the U.S. and opened a giftware studio in Chicago in 1931. Over the next two decades, he created over 300 popular dog and horse models. Composed of ceramic over a metal skeleton, these figurines, although beautiful and engaging, were prone to crazing and flaking, thus making it difficult, today, to find examples in perfect condition.
