This very unique, German, porcelain match holder was made and hand painted in Germany.
It features a highly-detailed, small breed spaniel dog, who has found something that has captured her interest inside of a bucket. Originally, this bucket served as the match holder.
This engaging porcelain piece is 4 1/4″ tall x 5″ long x 3 1/4″ wide and it is in excellent condition.
It was created in the A. W. FR. Kister factory of Thuringia, Germany,between 1887- 1905.
This elegant piece has tremendous charm and can certainly be re-purposed for use on a vanity table, or on a formal writing desk. As a collector’s piece, it is certainly a rare and beautiful find.
