This exquisite, Art Deco porcelain Borzoi pair, is the perfect addition to any antique porcelain Borzoi collection.
Created between 1900-1934 in the Pfeffer Porcelain Factory, Gotha, Thuringia, Germany, it is both elegant and charming.
Because Pfeffer Porcelain dogs were never signed by the artist, this Borzoi pair could have been originally designed by Fritz Pfeffer (1857-1922), or by his son Max , who drove the factory into bankruptcy in 1934, or even by Fritz’s wife, Ilse, who reopened it soon after, and kept it running until 1942.
It measures a full 7 1/2″ tall x 10″ long x 5 1/2″ wide, and this figurine is in excellent condition.
