This precious antique sitting German Shepherd pup has the softest, most heartwarming look on his face that you just can’t help but fall in love!

The designer of this figurine, Oscar Morten, immigrated from Sweden to the U.S. and opened a gift ware studio in Chicago in 1931. Over the next 32 years, he created over 300 popular dog and horse models.

Composed of ceramic over a metal skeleton, these figurines, although beautiful and engaging, were prone to crazing and flaking, thus making it difficult, today, to find examples in perfect condition.

This handsome pup is completely intact with only two very tiny chips on the edge of one ear.

He sits 3 tall x 3″ long x 2 1/4″ wide.

Enchanting on his own, this little German Shepherd would also be a wonderful addition to either a German Shepherd collection, or a Mortens Studio Dog collection.
