This pair of antique brass bookends feature the cutest cocker spaniel puppies, intent on playing accordions!
Despite the fact that it is a bit hard to imagine that this could possibly happen, these bookends have a unique, irresistible charm that you can’t help but enjoy, the more you look at them.
They were part of a series of comical bookends, depicting mostly dogs, playing various musical instruments. They were made by the Jennings Brothers Manufacturing Company of Bridgeport, CT during the 1920’s.
They are hollow, cast metal with a heavy brass plating, that was a signature process for all Jennings Brothers bookends.
They measure 6″ tall x 6″ long x 4″ wide, and they are in great vintage condition.
They are a fabulous find for anyone who collects bookends, loves cocker spaniels, or would love to add some whimsy to their home or office.
