Small but exquisite, this antique, sterling silver salt spoon is beautifully detailed with a standing Terrier dog as a finial. It is 4 1/4″ long and the bowl of the spoon is 3/4″ in diameter. It is in excellent condition. It was made by Alexander Clark & Co. of Birmingham, Chester, and London, UK ca. 1820’s – 1906, and it is clearly hallmarked on the back of the bowl of the spoon. It would make an extraordinary addition to an antique salt spoon collection, or a unique gift for your favorite dog- lover.
