This Majolica, terrier dog is one of 5 engaging styles of these teapots that were made from the 1920’s – 1930’s. This beauty is in good condition, with some mild glaze crazing that actually looks like the dog’s fur, and a small craze line, not crack, along the base of the bottom of the dog’s head, that cannot be seen when the head is on the teapot.
It is stamped on the bottom “Erphila, Germany with a model number “6702 B”. It stands 7 1/2″ tall x 6″ l x 4″w. This teapot is a wonderful way to begin a collection, or a “hard-to-find” addition to your already established teapot collection.
As a stand-alone piece, it adds charm and a touch of “whimsy” to your kitchen or dining room.
