This Poodle figurine was created by Mortens Studio in the 1930’s – 1940’s.

Standing 3 1/2″ tall x 4″ long x 1 1/2″ wide, she is perfect, displaying an abundance of curly fur lines and a bright, intelligent expression.

Both her coloring and the gorgeous detailing of her fur, makes her look quite realistic.

She is in excellent, flawless condition, with her original foil label.

The designer of this figurine, Oscar Morten, immigrated from Sweden to the U.S. and opened a gift ware studio in Chicago in 1931. Over the next two decades, he created over 300 popular dog and horse models. Composed of ceramic over a metal skeleton, these figurines, although beautiful and engaging, were prone to crazing and flaking, thus making it difficult, today, to find examples in perfect condition.
