This original, front cover of Collier’s Magazine features an adorable Fox Terrier puppy in a football helmet. Dated Oct. 7, 1933, it is in excellent condition and framed under glass. The bold, vibrant colors of this vintage magazine cover, combined with such an engaging depiction of the Fox Terrier puppy, make this a piece of artwork that would look great in a family room, rec room, or even in a little boy’s bedroom.
Not only is it charming, it also carries an interesting bit of history. The NRA Eagle in the top left corner is the logo for The National Recovery Administration , which was a prime New Deal agency established by U.S. president Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) in 1933. It was later declared unconstitutional in May, 1935.
This wonderful piece of Advertising Art and History measures 17″ tall x 13 1/2″ wide, including the wood frame.
