He was modeled by Fritz Diller, who worked for Rosenthal from 1913 – 1927. Measuring a full 8 1/2″ tall x 14″ long x 6″ wide, this exquisite dog is believed to have been modeled by Diller after his famous bronze Bulldog, produced in 1910. He is in excellent condition, beautifully hand painted, with extraordinary detailing and he has a perfect gloss finish.
Every wrinkle, muscle and frown line is captured with perfection. His low-slung, muscular body and large head gives him a sturdy stance and dignified look, that conveys determination and strength. His wonderful facial features expertly captures what we love most about this breed: a gentle and lovable personality and a calm demeanor.
