This pair of planters were made by the Shawnee Pottery Company, of Zanesville, Ohio (1937-1961.)

Considered “highly collectible” this matched pair are done in a gorgeous baby blue, and they are in excellent condition.

Each on measures 4″ tall x 8″ long x 3″ wide. Each is marked USA on the underside.

While the puppy looks to possibly be one of many breeds, the “boot” appears to resemble one worn by Victorian women in the 1870’s.

Even thought they were originally designed to be decorative planters, we love to feature them as the perfect baby shower gift.

Fill them with nursery necessities, and give a gift that is both creative and unique or use them with flowers as a table centerpiece.

Either way, they will certainly be appreciated and enjoyed over and over again.
