This whimsical Jack Russell dog has pounced on a slipper and is having a grand time with it! He was issued by Royal Doulton in 1937 as part of the “Dogs of Character” series, which was a series of 12 dogs, modeled in various poses, and believed to be inspired by the works of Cecil Aldin, a popular British artist and illustrator. This wonderful pup has a perfect high gloss finish, and bears the green Royal Doulton backstamp and the mold # H.N. 2654. He is in excellent condition and stands 3 1/2″ tall x 4″ long x 2″ wide. If you collect this series or are tempted to, now’s the time to snatch this pup up! Take a look at our last picture to see the 4 “Dogs of Character” that we currently have in our shop. He also works well in a mix with other Jack Russell Terrier figurines by different artists, and makes a perfect gift to any lover of this high-energy and brilliant breed!
