This vintage Mortens Studio puppy is an adorable Airedale.

While traditionally called the “King of Terriers”, this Airedale looks much more like just a wonderful, playful pup.

The designer of this figurine, Oscar Morten, immigrated from Sweden to the U.S. and opened a giftware studio in Chicago in 1931. Over the next 32 years, he created over 300 popular dog and horse models.
Composed of ceramic over a metal skeleton, these figurines, although beautiful and engaging, were prone to crazing and flaking, thus making it difficult, today, to find examples in perfect condition.

This sweet dog, is in MINT condition, and measures 3″ tall x 3 1/2″ long x 1 1/2″ wide.

She will make a wonderful addition to your Mortens Studio canine collection, and the perfect gift for any dog lover.
