This wonderful Mortens Studio Old English Sheepdog is in mint condition.

The designer of this figurine, Oscar Morten, immigrated from Sweden to the U.S. and opened a giftware studio in Chicago in 1931. Over the next 32 years, he created over 300 popular dog and horse models.
Composed of ceramic over a metal skeleton, these figurines, although beautiful and engaging, were prone to crazing and flaking, thus making it difficult, today, to find examples in perfect condition.

This handsome Sheepdog stands a full 5″ tall x 6 3/4″ long x 3″ wide. Please note that any white “spots” that appear in the pictures are just reflections that the camera picks up off of his wonderful, high gloss finish.

He is so beautifully detailed, that you can see nearly every strand of the fur on his topcoat! He is both large, and as one of the more “hard-to-find” Morten Studio dogs, he will certainly be a fabulous addition to any dog collection and the perfect addition to the home of a Sheepdog owner, trainer or breeder!
