Can we “Fetch” a classic Cocker Spaniel
or perhaps another new friend for your consideration?
Seated Dog Figurine Collectible
This seated Cocker spaniel figurine was created by Mortens Studio in the 1930’s – 1940’s.
Sitting 2 3/4″ tall x 3 1/2″ long x 2″ wide, she is so sweet, displaying her gentle and affectionate nature.
Both her coloring and the gorgeous detailing of her fur, makes her look quite realistic. Please take a look at the last photo. We currently have two very similar Mortens Studio Cockers in the shop.
This pup is the one on the left.
She is in excellent condition.
The designer of this figurine, Oscar Morten, immigrated from Sweden to the U.S. and opened a gift ware studio in Chicago in 1931. Over the next two decades, he created over 300 popular dog and horse models. Composed of ceramic over a metal skeleton, these figurines, although beautiful and engaging, were prone to crazing and flaking, thus making it difficult, today, to find examples in perfect condition.
This Cocker Spaniel is also the perfect desktop “friend”, guaranteed to make you smile!
She would also make a wonderful gift to any Cocker Spaniel lover, but we caution you that once you see her, she will be quite difficult to give away!
Don’t forget our free shipping within the USA. All of our items arrive gift-wrapped in our distinctive “houndstooth” paper!
