This extraordinary bronze, Greyhound/Whippet dog figurine was modeled by Pierre Jules Mene, France, (1810 – 1879) during the late 1800’s. It depicts the dog poised, looking back over his shoulder ,with one paw raised. It is signed on the oval base, which is gorgeously detailed. As with all Mene Greyhound and Whippet dog figurines, this small beauty has extraordinary detailing, and an exquisite expression. Measuring 6″ tall x 5 3/4″ long x 3 1/4″ wide, this figurine is in excellent condition.
If you are a collector of bronze canines, or a Greyhound or Whippet enthusiast, he is certainly one you will want to add to your collection. His charm and elegant presence is truly a joy to experience.
