This wonderful, whimsical etching by Marguerite Kirmse (1885-1954), a well known and popular artist who was born in England, and then took up residence in Connecticut.

This original etching is of a Scottish Terrier puppy who has discovered a caterpillar climbing on a stem of grass. It was first published in 1929.

This etching is penciled signed on the bottom right side of the etching, and it is titled “Fuzzy Wuzzy” on the lower left side of the etching.

It is matted and framed under glass in a combination silver/gold painted wooden frame. There are two small chips along the top of the frame that do not show from the front.

It measures 20″ tall x 15″ wide, including the frame. The etching measures 8″ tall x 5 3/4″ wide.

The etching is in excellent condition. The matte appears to have some dust caught between it and the glass along the right side.

Anyone who loves the work of this celebrated artist will love this sweet addition to their collection.
