This exquisite portrait of a Dachshund dog was done by Kurt Meyer Eberhardt, one of the most famous and revered dog artists of the 20th century. His work has been published by the Hanfstaengl Publishing Company in Munich since 1917. His engravings are still published today at the printing shop in Munich ” “ formally Franz Hanfstaengl, Munich . All etchings are still printed on 300lb hand made acid-free paper, printed by hand from the original copper plates, using the same directions as given by the artist himself.

This portrait captures the spirit of this lively, charming and “ever-so-loyal” breed. It is in excellent condition, with a slight wearing on the top right corner of the frame. It measures 17 1/4″ x 13 1/2″ (including the frame.) It is pencil signed by the artist in the lower, right hand corner.

This heart-warming portrait is a “must-have” addition to an Eberhardt canine etching collection. If you are a Dachshund enthusiast, owning this wonderful portrait is a fabulous way to show off your passion for the breed.
