This whimsical Jack Russell dog, seems to be encouraging you to play ball with him. He was issued by Royal Doulton between 1937 – 1985 as part of the “Dogs of Character” series, which was a series of 12 dogs, modeled in various poses, and believed to be inspired by the works of Cecil Aldin, a popular British artist and illustrator. This wonderful pup has a perfect high gloss finish, and bears the green Royal Doulton backstamp. He is in excellent condition and stands 2 1/2″ tall x 4 1/4″ long x 2″ wide. Please note that we currently have 4 of the 12 “Dogs” of Character” available. If you collect this series or are tempted to, now’s the time to snatch this pup up (and perhaps the other 3 as well!) He also works well in a mix with other Jack Russell Terrier figurines by different artists, and makes a perfect gift to any lover of this high-energy and brilliant breed!
