Along with everything you would need to sell on ebay, you will also have to take on the time and work required to “manage” your shop. This includes customer service activities, how your shop “looks” to potential customers, keeping updated on your items and pricing as compared to others who may be competing with you on that platform.
Each of these platforms charge fees for “hosting” your shop online, fees as a percentage of each sale, or both. It is important to keep in mind that what you are ultimately paying for is exposure to potential customers. All the other work involved is entirely, once again, your responsibility. If this is beginning to look like a full-time job…it is.
