This stunning dog’s head inkwell is truly a rare find. We really can’t say enough about it. The details are amazing, down to the glass eyes and expressive face. The dog’s mouth is muzzled and the top of his head opens with a small level to reveal the original porcelain inkwell. The casting is of the finest quality showing intricate fur lines, realistic mouth and nose, as well as an elegantly decorated pen tray. The underside of the base is hallmarked for Elkington and Co. with a date letter for 1865. This gorgeous inkwell measures 3″ tall x 6 1/2″ long x 6″ wide, and is in excellent condition. This is figural display classic that will be the centerpiece of any collection!
