This beautiful, Hutschenreuther, hunting dog appears to be modeled after the Kooikerhondje, an indigenous Dutch dog that was used in the field to assist duck hunters. The name, itself, is also the name of a duck hunting technique. This figurine, made in Germany, exquisitely captures all the fabulous characteristics of this breed, showing not only his unique, hand painted markings and plumed tail, but also his perfect “technique”, as well as his intelligence and energy. At 4″ tall x 6 1/2″ long x 1 1/2″ wide, he is in excellent condition.
