Pottery Pug Dog with Glass Eyes

This exquisite pottery pug dog was modelled after the Terracotta dogs created in the Friedrich Goldschneider Factory between 1880-1900. Standing proudly at 10 1/4″ tall x 10 1/4″ long x 5 1/2″ wide, he is in excellent condition. The detailing of this dog is wonderful. Fur lines, a pug nose and jowls are all beautifully done. He has piercing gold and black glass eyes that make him look almost real. His collar is painted on as you would expect to see on an original terracotta dog. He is truly a magnificent dog, and would be a treasure for any collector to own, as well as an elegant and unique addition to your home.
