These unique, Victorian Girandole Candelabras each feature a recumbent spaniel dog. As a perfectly matched pair, they are made of gilded bronze set on white marble bases.
Each one has ten hanging, large, faceted and cut lead crystals. Each candelabra consists of a candle stick and a drip plate.
They were manufactured by Cornelius & Company between 1839-1851.
Measuring 12 inches tall x 5 inches long x 3 inches wide, they are in excellent antique condition. There are tiny chips in some of the prisms, as well as some wear along the edges of each marble base.
Nonetheless, they display beautifully and totally capture the elegance and romance of that era.
Whether you choose to use them to add a touch of elegance to your dining table, or instead as unique decorative pieces, they are a fabulous find and a truly special addition to your home.
