Porcelain Sporting Dog Table Lamp

This exquisite, porcelain, table lamp features a pair of Sporting Dogs; one Retriever, and one Setter.

It is a solid white, heavy piece, that looks much like a Herend porcelain figurine. It is marked “Bavaria” on its underside along with the numbers 3902.

Not only are the two dogs beautifully detailed and poised as though they were caught in action, the base is also lovely, as well as the “tree”, leaves and flowers, that form the pole of the lamp. It measures a full 19 1/2″ tall x 11 1/2″ long x 5″ wide.

Unfortunately, as shown in the pictures, the end of the Retriever’s tail was once cracked and repaired, and it can still be seen. This is the only flaw in this lamp. It is otherwise in excellent condition. It has been completely re-wired, and as you can see, it works perfectly.

The elegance and grace of this lamp far outshines this one imperfection, and it would make a unique and wonderful addition to any Sporting or Hunting dog lover’s home.
