Sporting Dogs Oleograph “Four Knights and a Knave”

This elegant and classic study of sporting dogs was originally done by Thomas Blinks in 1892.
It features four Pointers and a Terrier, and it is titled “Four Kings and a Knave.”
Thomas Blinks (1860-1912) was born and lived throughout his live in and around London. He was largely self-taught, and became quite well-known for his paintings of setters and pointers. Today, his art can be seen in many museums and galleries in London.
This exquisite oleograph is framed under glass in a classic wood frame. The oleograph gives it the look of an aged patina, that separates it from the appearance of a standard print. It is pencil-signed, titled and dated.
It is a large piece, measuring 33″ tall x 26″ wide (including the frame.) It is in excellent condition.
