This original painting of three Fox Terrier dogs is very interesting.
It is an original painting, signed by the artist, done in September, 1940. And it is also an almost exact copy of the famous, “Three Rascals” etching, originally done by Kurt Meyer-Eberhardt.
This artist, whose signature is partially covered under the mat of this portrait, renamed the work “Winky, Blinky, and Nod.”
Although a copy of the original art, it is beautifully done.
It is framed, under glass, and measures 17 1/2″ tall x 23 1/2″ wide. Any glare you may notice is due to the light of the camera.
The “shabby chic” painted wood frame, has some chips, but looks great with the art. The matting is flaking off in spots, due to its age, and the art looks as though it could be raised a bit under the mat, to expose the artist’s signature, and to center the portrait in the frame.
This is a wonderful painting of these three Fox Terrier pups. It is a unique and beautiful addition to any Fox Terrier lovers collection, and as is, it would look amazing on the wall in a little boy’s room.
