This exquisitely detailed Basset Hound dog seems quite focused on something on the ground in front of him. Such realism, combined with Dahl-Jensen’s signature soft color palette, places this vintage porcelain figurine in a class all its own! Standing 5″ tall x 5″ long x 3 1/4″ wide, this gorgeous dog carries the standard DJ crown mark on his underside, along with the #1065. He is in excellent condition and he appears on page 34 of “Dahl-Jensen Porcelain Figurines 1897-1985 by Caroline and Nick Pope. It is hard to find a porcelain dog that is more engaging than those designed by Jens Peter Dahl -Jensen. This figurine is so masterfully detailed that it will draw attention wherever it is placed. Look closely at the amazing eyes on this gorgeous dog (picture #2.)
