This large, antique pitcher was designed and manufactured by the Taylor Smith & Taylor Pottery Company of Chester, West Virginia between 1908 – 1915. Warm gold and brown tones provide the background for a highly detailed portrait of a dog.
It measures a full 13″ tall with a 4 1/2″ diameter at the top and a 6 1/2″ diameter at the base.
It is in excellent condition, and it is marked with the “TST China” on the underside of the base.
It is quite a showpiece that would look spectacular holding flowers and greenery on a tabletop. It is also a fantastic collector’s piece, that would look wonderful in a study or an office.
