Antique Sterling Silver Matchbox Holder with Figural German Shepherd Dog c.1902 – 1940

This antique, sterling silver matchbox has a wonderful German Shepherd dog on the front. At 1 1/4″ tall x 1 3/4″ long x 1/2″wide, it is in good antique condition, with some light scratching from use.

This antique, sterling silver matchbox has a wonderful German Shepherd dog on the front. At 1 1/4″ tall x 1 3/4″ long x 1/2″wide, it is in good antique condition, with some light scratching from use. It is also slightly bent at the top corner. It was created in the silver workshop of George A. Henckel & Co., of New York, N.Y., between 1902 and 1940. It is a wonderful, highly collectible piece, and certainly a treasure for any German Shepherd dog enthusiast.
