This irresistible portrait of a Wire-Haired Fox Terrier was created by Kurt Meyer-Eberhardt (1895 – 1977), a well-known, German dog artist.
This pup is sitting patiently, while eyeing the bee who is flying just above his head. Whether this pup is waiting to pounce and capture the bee, or just simply enjoying his “buzzing” song, we will never know, but the smile on this dog’s face, just might gives us a clue.
As with all of Kurt Meyer-Eberhardt’s works, this etching is exquisitely detailed and it truly captures the charm of this wonderful dog.
It is pencil-signed in the bottom right corner. The etching is matted and framed under glass. All together, it measures 17″ tall x 13″ wide. There is a slight line of discoloration of the mat up at the top, right side, but even with that, it is in excellent, ready-to-hang condition.
Please note that the white “shadow” in the photos is the result of the glare off the glass.
