If you love Boxer pups, then you will absolutely “drool” over this Mortens Studio figurine of an adorable Boxer puppy scratching her ear.

Just like her flesh and fur counterpart, she will try to manage doing two things at once… to gaze expectantly at you so as not to miss anything, while trying to accomplish “the scratch.”

This wonderful dog was designed and produced by Mortens Studio. The designer of this figurine, Oscar Morten, immigrated from Sweden to the U.S. and opened a giftware studio in Chicago in 1931. Over the next two decades, he created over 300 popular dog and horse models. Composed of ceramic over a metal skeleton, these figurines, although beautiful and engaging, were prone to crazing and flaking, thus making it difficult, today, to find examples in perfect condition.

This pup is in excellent condition! Any specks on the photos are merely specks of light caught by the camera. She does have a very, very tiny chip at the top of her right ear. You have to really look for it to notice.

She sits 2 3/4″ tall x 4″ long x 2 1/2″ wide. If you collect Mortens Studio canines, then this is an opportunity to add a perfect example of this particular breed to your collection. If you just love the breed…then you won’t want this engaging little pup to get away!
