This fabulous, vintage Mack Truck Bulldog Ornament dates its iconic status back to 1932, when it was created by Mack Truck’s chief engineer, Alfred F. Masury. Today, it is still used as a handle for opening the hood on Mack’s current production model trucks.
This wonderful example measures its standard 4 1/2″ tall x 4 1/4″ long x 1 7/8″ wide, and it is excellent condition.
It is stamped “MACK” on the Bulldog’s collar just under his chin, and it is stamped “Design Patent 87931” on his chest.
It is an ornament that is a powerful symbol of the American trucking industry, with a history linking back to a popular vehicle which is often referred to being as tenacious as a Bulldog, this hood ornament is a must for collectors as well as your favorite Bulldog owner.
