This unusual, vintage needlework art appears to be a small, oval-shaped, hooked rug, mounted on a burlap cloth background, and framed under glass.

The subject of the portrait is a sweet, standing terrier dog, sporting a red collar that matches the blooms of the flowers, that flank him on both sides.

Measuring 10″ tall x 12″ wide, it is in very good condition.

The “foggy” spots in the pictures are due to the glare off of the glass, caused by the camera.

The burlap background has some streaks of light brown in various places. We cannot determine whether they are the natural color of the burlap,

or that they are part of the aging process of this piece.

The painted black and gold, wood frame looks much newer than the needlework, and it is in excellent, ready-to-hang condition.
