This fabulous, vintage chalkware Collie dog bank dates back to the 1930’s.

You can almost visualize the exciting sights and sounds of the boardwalk, where luck at a game won you one of these chalkware canine beauties. Many of them, like this one, functioned as banks. However, you had to break them to get your money back out, so there are not very many still around.

This beauty would probably have been chosen either by a young lady, or for a young lady, because the sparkle of glitter in the dog’s ears and on her fur, made her that much fancier.

She sits a full 11 1/2″ tall x 5 3/4″ long x 3 1/2″ wide. She is in outstanding condition for her age and size. Her colors are still bright and beautiful.
